About

“I go to war with everything that doesn’t make sense in a bathtub.” is the story of Charles, a star middle school football player who has recently lost his mother to suicide. Charles is chased through nightmares by a shadowy figure that he begins to associate with a new African American teammate. Everyone around Charles thinks he is racist, but he is just clinically insane. This story brings into question racism in youth, and the expectation of adults to see it in every action that children take. Writer Jules Anthony Monteyne will also direct the film, which is being produced by Secret Frames using funds provided by Cinereach as part of the Reach Film Fellowship. Through this Fellowship, the film is also receiving support from Kodak, Postworks NY, and Panavision. Additional funds are coming from private donors.
